Free Naloxone and Naloxone training

Overdose response training and support are provided by BHN.

Overdoses caused by opioids are the most common cause of fatal overdoses. Anyone who uses illegal drugs like heroin along with prescribed painkillers like morphine or fentanyl, are at risk.

However, overdosing can occur with any drug, including amphetamine type stimulants, bensodiazepines, and alcohol. Different types of overdoses will have different effects and require different responses.

Our training and resources about drug-related overdoses include:

  • Training on an individual basis as well as in groups
  • In-service and outreach support and education

The training is easy to access, free and tailored to your needs.

During our training, you will learn:

  • Overdose prevention information
  • Helping you recognise when someone needs assistance
  • First aid and Naloxone training for responding to overdoses
  • Overdose response kit with FREE naloxone

Eligibility

  • Families and friends of drug users
